This is exactly why I tend to stay away from the comment area of many blogs. <br /><br />For one: the emotional duress that comes over me when I read the hatred overwhelms and I find myself judgmental and resentful. In other words, I become that which I do not like.<br /><br />for two: the more people who read and react to these blogs, the more empowered the authors are to continue. In some inexplicable fashion they seem to feel that their content is a well needed contribution to their environment. I personally have found that if their is no readership, they authors tend to abandon their blogs. I&#39;m writing these recent blog entries as a prelude to writing about &quot;my hippy years&quot;. And I&#39;m labelling it &quot;the track&quot; to indicate that was where I got off track. These are first drafts. I&#39;ll be revising these entries in the future. <br /><br />I&#39;ve been receiving the 40th reunion e-mail that &quot;redbootz&quot; is sending out and I&#39;m reading it with interest. Or on the flip side, how much is too much?<BR/><BR/>I think from a Christian worldview the answer is: it depends what God asks you to do. We aren't God, we can't do everything. We have to eat, sleep, and have shelter. We have to trust that God is going to pick up the things we can't. <BR/><BR/>The flip side is, if you're using a secular view - is there any way to determine "too much"? I'm not sure there's ever a good way to determine where we should stop.
